Sooooo, I’m bored…

Have been since last night, and after much thought, I’ve decided that’s a good thing. I know it sounds wierd, but boredom, in its simplest form, is the lack of anything to do and a desire to do something. During my little funk (depression, whatever you want to call it) boredom was not an option because there was no desire to do anything. I was perfectly “happy” doing absolutely nothing more exciting than staring sightlessly at the tv and having no recollection later as to what had been on.
Now, I have a desire to do something…unfortunately, there’s not much to do this weekend. The kiddos are at their dad’s for the entire weekend (I’m still kinda shocked at that one), the lawn’s mowed, and everybody I might do something with is either out of town or has family plans for the holiday. So, what am I doing?
Cleaning house. I know, I know, doesn’t sound that exciting, but hey, I’m desperate
Aside from the usual laundry, dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc. I actually found myself on my hands and knees scrubbing the bathroom floors the old fashioned way…ummm, hello…I have a mop?!?! I’ve knocked down cobwebs, which at a whopping 5′2 is NOT one of my favorite activities, I’ve cleaned that space between the toilet and the wall (uckk) and a few minutes ago I found myself seriously contemplating dragging out a ladder so I could clean the ceiling fans. Anybody else as wierded out as I am yet??
I’m currently debating going to the movie store but in between all this cleaning, I’ve managed to watch Die Hard 2, Payback and another action flick I can’t remember the name of. Would this be a good time to mention I’m not really a chick-flick kinda girl… Sooo, I’m kinda tired of the tv thing. Any suggestions??? Seriously….anything???

Bored but productive, not a bad thing as long as it doesn’t turn into a habit. Not exactly how one would describe a great Fourth of July but I have a feeling a lot of people found themselves in the same situation you did…bored.
I worked yesterday and got rid of dust bunnies today. At one point I found myself staring sightlessly at the tv. Now you’ve got me second guessing my mental health!
Oh and now I’m sitting here wishing I had a password dang it.

I think your mental health is just fine!!! Sometimes staring sightlessly at the tv is just…staring sightlessly at the tv.
And there’s a post coming on the password thing. I suspect I’ll reopen those two posts once I work through a few things.
